Aimee stepped through a portal into her bedroom. She heard raised voices from the living room.
"What's happened? Where did she go? What's going on?"
She walked into the living room. There was shock at her appearance, then tears & cries of relief.
"Such #drama!" she said.

"Demons sound kinda #antisocial," Rory said.
"Heh. Demons have no society," Tseluna said. "We have no need."
"What about the D-Force?"
"That's a kind of society," she admitted. "And there's a few others. But your point is well taken."
Rory kissed the nape of her neck.

"By what skill or #craft did you show me that symbol in my head?" Aimee asked, trying to wring the water out of her clothes.
"Craft?"
"Yeah. How did you do that?"
"Same. Words."
Aimee suddenly gasped.
"You're not speaking those words out loud! They're just in my head!"

"Water," the demon said. Aimee saw a complex magical symbol in her head.
"Wait! Is that a #spell?"
"Water. Make."
Aimee concentrated briefly & spoke a word of power. A firehose of water issued forth & knocked her down.
"OK," she said, drenched, laughing. "We have water."

Aimee made a light & explored the cavern. It was rough & unfinished with no exits.
"Where's the air come from?"
"Air?" said the demon.
"Is there water?"
"Water?"
"It's a #liquid people need. Or they die," she said. "If there's no air or water it's not very fucking safe."

Aimee shrank back in terror against the wall of the cavern. The strange unfinished-looking demon loomed over her.
"Safe," she heard.
"You can #talk?" she whispered.
"Words. Learn."
"Take me home!" Aimee shouted.
"Not. Safe," the demon said.
Aimee burst into tears.
