Walking single file, the last Better Angel started to fall behind.
"Watch out," David joked. "If ya don't keep up, I'll #grab ya!"
"No!" Zaza shrieked, turning back. "Grab me, David!"
They all surrounded him raising their arms.
"Grab me, David!" they pleaded. "Grab me!"

"David! David! David!" Zaza cried, as the Better Angels ran to him and surrounded him.
"What? What? What?" he replied.
"That mean stage manager said I was #bossy!"
"Yeah?"
"Go tell him he's wrong!" she squealed, stomping her foot. "Right now!"

David returned to the ship & triggered the hatch. The Better Angels clustered just inside.
"What did you bring? What did you bring?" they said.
"I bought sour #apple candy!" he said. They collapsed, rolling around & moaning in despair.
"We want SWEET apple!" Zaza cried.

David watched from the back of the theatre as the Better Angels came to the big #finish. Then he heard Zaza yell, "Now!"
Strong hands seized David. He was crowd surfed forward & pushed onto the stage. The girls struck a pose around him.
"Happy Birthday!" they shouted.

Revin's mother slapped Revin's father, snapping his head to the side.
"#Why?" she pleaded. "Why did you lie? Why did you tell me that my daughter—my Riva—was dead?"
"Riva is dead," Revin said, flatly. "I am Revin. And you were complicit."
She looked at him with horror.

"What's this #game you're playing at, you bint?" Revin's father sneered.
"That's Governor-General," said Grip. "Sir Revin is now the King's man in Devishire."
"She's a worthless little girl!" he spat.
Revin looked up and saw his brother and mother witness this exchange.

A dashing young lieutenant led the marines to close ranks around Revin & saluted.
"#We will assure your safety, Sir Revin!" he said.
"They're pretty gung ho," Revin observed.
"The Queen selected & met with them personally to impress the importance of this mission, sir!"

"Happy Birthday, David!" each Better Angel said, lining up and handing him a cupcake.
"But it's not my birthday," he said, frowning.
"Here you go!" Zaza said, handing him two.
"What am I going to do with nine cupcakes?" he asked.
"Share!" they squealed.

The Queen lifted off & kept station above the park. Revin saw a message flash.
"Attention everyone! We have captured the executive building & palace. The capital is ours!"
"Who's in charge?" someone called.
"That would be me," Revin said, squaring his shoulders.

Revin panicked. He'd not drawn his sword, so had no way to parry, as he had the #other time. Then he lost sight of his father when Grip stepped in front, shielding him.
"Move, you bastard!" Revin's father bellowed, then abruptly collapsed, when Mike sucker punched him.
