Revin tried to staunch the bleeding while he & Terrier concealed themselves behind the #pillar. The assassin walked deliberately through the gallery & exited at the far end.
"No! Don't!" Revin hissed, as Terrier looked faint & then passed out.

He hiked up and up, out of the lodgepole pine and into the #aspen. Higher, even the aspen gave way to open meadows with only stunted trees and shrubs, but fields of alpine paintbrush in bloom. He panted in the thin air, but pressed on higher toward the crash site.

She raised her hand.

Revin stood on the observation deck of Pamela's Panties & spied a #flicker out of the corner of his eye.
"Pirates!" called the lookout. "It's the Queen of Belleriand! Quarters! Quarters!"

He sat out in his front yard feeling #isolated & sorry for himself. But, he admitted, someone had come to visit just the day before. That was fun. And someone came the day before that too! Was he not the socialest of all possible butterflies? He closed his eyes & smiled.

Revin paced with #anxiety. Lidja had been with the Queen for 40 minutes with Revin enjoined from the meeting. The door opened and they looked at Revin, then looked at each other & smirked.
"Agreed," they said, shaking hands.

No matter what barriers he tried to erect, he felt her invade his mind again. And again he was naked before her. She shook him like a rag doll. He gave up as he felt his consciousness slip away.
"Don't stop!" she said, slapping him. "Don't just #surrender! Try harder!"
